Amber has helped me to correct my posture and breath. I now feel strong, flexible & my body is in the best shape, since before I had Children.

 

Yoga is an amazing gift and practice to have in ones life. I have been practicing and studying yoga for over 25 years. As a high performer, and someone who is actually quite competitive, Yoga is the one thing that has kept me grounded, allowed me to focus and to live life in a very conscious and present way.

Now at 52 I am truly grateful to yoga for helping me to age well.

Yoga for Aging

Yoga is a form of physical activity that aims to improve health. Yoga also may buffer the effects of age-related decline. Research suggests that regular yoga practice may lead to changes in brain structure and function.

While age does affect you in various ways, there’s a lot you can do to limit its impact on your body. Yoga is an excellent anti-aging tool, capable of relieving symptoms and in some cases improving medical outcomes. It doesn’t matter where you’re starting from or how old you are—movement and yoga can help.

The definition of mindfullness - a mental state achieved by focusing one's awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one's feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations, used as a therapeutic technique.

We at Wellness with Amber place a big emphasis on intentional breathing. Teaching many different breathing techniques to create a calm state of mind and body.

Mindful breathing can give you a greater sense of control; increased self-awareness; a greater sense of calm, peace, and happiness; and greater resilience in stressful times.
