Do You Struggle with TIGHT Hips?

Are you one of the thousands of people who struggle with tight hips? They still feel tight, no matter how much you stretch them out.

Sitting for too long is expected nowadays. It's either hours at work, sitting whilst doing the long commute or driving the kids around; it's just too much sitting…

When we sit for long periods, our hips tighten, and we will feel hip flexor pain. This is caused because you are in the same position for hours at a time - making the hip flexor muscles tighten and shorten.

So I suggest getting up and moving every hour. Walk around for 2/3 minutes on the hour every hour. Set the alarm on your phone to make you do this.

Then once you are home, do this excellent Yoga pose. The inclined Butterfly Pose below:

This pose is fabulous because it externally rotates the hips releasing tension in the hip flexors.

It also stretches the groin, adductors, hamstrings, knees, chest, shoulders and triceps. It can help to alleviate upper and lower back pain.

Another great thing about the Butterfly pose is that it's calming and helps relieve stress.

Bonus!

  • Try it out. Do at least 10 - 20 breaths in it.

  • Allow your back to curve naturally so the hips can release more.

  • Keep your chin into your chest to create the length through the back of the neck.

Enjoy this lovely relaxing pose.
